The Arctic Rail Express (ARE) delivers efficient transport between Oslo and Narvik in northern Norway. It is Europe’s longest direct train transport with its 1950 kilometres on a one-way trip. CargoNet is a frequent user of the railroad and their concept is based on a train commute with fruit, vegetables, fish and other goods going between Oslo and Narvik.
